Our practice strives for more personal relationships between patients and providers. Thus the practice name Care First. Key goals for Dr. Taylor and CARE FIRST are:

-Finding a good balance between understanding the person and identifying their illness(es)

-Thoroughness in arriving at a diagnosis and a treatment plan

-Considering how life stresses and sources of support affect a person’s health

-Having an office that is very comfortable for patients

-Using processes that facilitate good preventative care

-Focusing on clear communications with patients

-Prompt access to care in the office, usually the same day a patient calls.

Dr. Taylor provides care for patients age 8 and older. Patients who require hospitalization are admitted to Los Alamos Medical Center, where he is actively involved on the Medical Staff. He not only does routine adult and adolescent medical care, but also gynecological exams, minor surgery, freezing of skin lesions (cryotherapy), treating minor injuries, and even the occasional house call. Dr. Taylor, like most Family Practitioners, handles about 80 to 90 percent of his patients medical needs, but is glad to refer to specialists for the more complex or serious conditions. He currently accepts patients with all major insurance carriers and more companies will be steadily added to the list in the immediate future.
